I just wondered if any of you know how many days it takes after conception to get an

accurate reading from an at home preg. test. I knokw the boxes say the first day of your missed

period but I just wondered if this is an absolute or if it''s possible to tell sooner?

Hello suzy, will the way to tell if you are pregnant with a home preg. test is to wait
for your period to come down. you can take the test as soon as your period is 1 day late. thats

the right way to do it. well hope I helped u out a little

I took mine 1 week after the presumed conception date and had 4 tests in 2 days come up

positive...so my opinion is to take about a week after your believed conception. Yes there is a

faster way to be able to tell. Go to your doctor and ask for a blood test. This is the most

accurate test you can have done.

all 3 of my children turned up with negative home pregnancy tests until 2 weeks past my period

was due, it just depends on how regular you are and the fact that some people have lower HCG

levels in early pregnancy than others (which apparently according to an ER Dr. I am one). They

are right it could come up positive as early as 1st day of missed period, but if it is negative

and you still don''t start, give it a little longer then test again. Ladonna is right, a blood

test is most accurate and CAN tell as early as 10 days past the last unprotected sex.

I stopped taking the pill jan 24 because I have fibrocystic breasts. i had THREE periods withing

1 month immediately after that. I had my last period mar 12 and by boyfriend failed to pull out

march 21st, 24th and possibly 1 time after that. I have a preg test that I am ANXIOUS to take,

my oeriods funny now but i expect it maybe around the 9th or 10th (on the pill it was 21 days or

nothing!!! now i can''t call it!) i THINK I''M GOING TO TAKE IT TODAY...is it possible to have

enough hcg in my system (if preg) to determine? whenever you get a cance because if i''m not,

i''ll know for the furture. :-)
